Send Leslie & Paige to West Africa!
My Travel Story
With a combined 12 years of non-stop organizing we have worked hard building community, lifting up marginalized voices and moving resources to Black people who need them around the United States.
This December we decided to take a leap of faith and join an incredible group of Black people on a trip to West Africa planned by Magic & Melanin. Over two weeks we will visit Togo, Ghana and Benin.
This will be both of our first trips to the continent and we are looking for your support and help to fund this incredible opportunity. One of the things we, as first & second generation Americans have been deeply discussing recently is how connected we are as Black people across the diaspora, in our struggles, in our joys, in our celebrations, in our drive towards liberation. We are so excited to connect with new places, new people and learn more about the lives of our siblings in Togo, Benin & Ghana.
Magic and Melanin is a cultural immersion experience providing access to the motherland, as well as resources for humans of the diaspora to know the motherland, explore the motherland, and invest in the motherland. They are creating bridges that connect the diaspora through love, culture, knowledge of our history, art, fashion, and travel. We hope you will support us & our work via making this dream a reality.

Mother's Day In Minneapolis
Hey everyone!
Just a quick check in to say hi and celebrate getting to 10% of our goal! We had the pleasure of spending Mother's Day weekend together and got to spend time with the amazing Dr Joi Lewis who is doing some revolutionary work around self-care for organizers. Thanks for supporting us & this dream trip. Be sure to spread the word!
