Seven Colorado State University students are preparing to embark on this unique educational experience. This new education abroad program will provide students with the opportunity to develop practical field biology skills by interacting with a wide variety of marine life from phytoplankton to sea lions.

Meet the students:

My name is Chelsea I am a senior zoology major and this will be my second study abroad course in Todos Santos, the first being for a Wildlife Conservation course. This course, with its focus on field research, will complement and enhance my previous experience with conservation. This program will also help me gain valuable skills and experiences with marine life while helping me narrow my focus for a future profession, hopefully involving marine mammals.

My name is Micaela and this program will provide an unparalleled opportunity to supplement my academic and career goals. As a Zoology major (and veterinary school hopeful) I have focused on the marine environment and the diverse organisms that live within it by taking multiple classes on the subject. This chance to study the marine environment firsthand will add new insights to what I have learned and provide a foundation for research skills in the field.

My name is Kelly and I'm a senior zoology major at Colorado State University. My classes at CSU have introduced me to the phenomenally diverse world we share with so many organisms, and I'm very excited to apply this knowledge in the Todos Santos marine biology field course.

My name is Hayden and I am a Biology student at Colorado State University.  I am very involved in music being a part of multiple ensembles at CSU, and I am also a lifelong Eagle Scout.  This program means a lot to me as my future dream is to become a Marine Biologist doing research for the rest of my life.  I believe this program will best help me reach my future goal through the practical field experience I will gain.

My name is Grace, and I'm a certified open water diver. The Todos Santos program is especially important to me, because this is how I will gain the field experience to decide how I would like to make an impact, to better the world. Recently, I've been intrigued with marine mammal diving physiology, and the chance to work so closely with the 4th most expert on the subject is one of the most incredible opportunities that I've ever had.

My name is Kendra and I am a junior at CSU majoring in Biological Sciences with plans of later studying marine sciences. I am passionate about reading, learning about and exploring wildlife, playing volleyball, and spending time with my friends and family. Traveling to Todos Santos will be an new, exciting experience for me.  It is a beautiful location that will provide engaging and significant work towards my development as a future marine biologist.

My name is Bethan and I'm majoring in zoology with a minor in botany . I am excited about this incredible opportunity working with marine life and gaining experience working in the field, especially since I live in a landlocked state. I look forward to having my eyes opened up to the abundance of life around Baja California Sur.
