The new hippie trail, from Barcelona to Bangalore
My Travel Story
After our volunteer we will continue though Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India. We want to get deep into the culture with volunteering and cultural exchange. We always stay with locals. An example of this fact is that during our trip from Barcelona to Greece, which lasted for 6 weeks, we only slept in hostels 5 nights. The rest of the nights we slept at local friends' houses or using Couchsurfing.
When funding you are not funding a trip, you are funding a project. We are writing a book and Beatriz is recording songs. Both, the book and the songs are going to explain our experiences and our thoughts. We are going to relate everything we find and we think with the moder European society and its problems. The book/rap music project is described in English and Spanish.
The idea is to compile our experiences and emotions. We propose, non-fiction and poetry. Modern poetry writen and sung.
The book is diveded in various chapters in which we relate the experiences of a trip between Barcelona and Bangalore and the Spanish and European society.
We talk about topics such as the trust between humans from our experience hitchhiking or our experience with refugees, who we have been working with for more than 4 months.
The contanct in between cultures and the diversity of ideologies is also related with the ideological crash withing one culture. From this point of view we are going to analyse current topics as the equality in between humans, the sustainable turism, the wellbeing of all humans or the current behaviour of the Spanish and European society. We are the ones that grew up during the crisis in Spain. This experience has labeled and conditionate us.
With this project we want to get to people's heart. We want to show that happiness exists and that an introspective path is needed. The trip is also an exteriorization of our inside trip.
