My Travel Story

I currently live in Humboldt California and have just finished my junior year at Eureka Highschool. 

On July 27th I will be boarding a plane to Denmark where I will begin my exchange year. I'm going to finish my highschool eduacation there as I begin learning Danish and experiencing a whole new culture. 

This last year I met an exchange student from Denmark. During our history class together, we came up with a plan that became a reality. Her family was thrilled to be able to host me for a year as an exchange student and my parents were just as supportive. 

Even though I am going on exchange independently, I beleive in what exchange organizations stand for. Through these organizations I have been given friends from Turkey, Suriname, Brazil, and now Denmark. Exchange students are truly bringing our world closer together, creating peace one connection at a time.

Even the smallest donations would mean the world to me. Thank you all so much for helping me make my exchange possible.

  • I Will Be Staying In Odense!

    I will be staying in Odense!
    Odense is about an hour and a half from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Odense is the third largest city, with a population of 175,245. Odense was also where Hans Christian Andersen was born, in 1805, who is famous for his fairy tales, such as "The Little Mermaid" and "The Ugly Duckling". I am so excited to live here and learn more about the culture!
