Hi my name is Julia! 

I am 14 years old and in 2021 my school has organised a trip to Kenya to help teach and understand the lives of the locals and to help have an impact on their life as much as they will on ours.

I would like to have the chance to go on this trip because I believe it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to help and see people's lives that have many cultural differences. Furthermore I would really appreciate the things I get, like a good education which is free which I would like to provide to the students in Kenya as a teacher. When I was in year 2 my teacher told me about her trip to Kenya and how it inspired her and we all had pen pals I would love the chance to see what she experienced which would make it really meaningful and personal. I'm very passionate as I really like to help others and I feel like this is my chance to give back what society gave me all these years and it would open my eyes so much on what the world is really like, not just behind a TV screen. My school chose this destination as they thought it was appropriate and they knew the area very well and I think this was great as I would really like to travel there now and in the future to help even more!
