My Travel Story

Victoria has been selected among her peers to join 3 other students to represent Dominion High School at the Zhengzhou International Young Leaders Summit in October. Dominion HS is engaged in an ongoing partnership with the school in Zhengzhou and this will be the second year that Dominion students have been selected to participate in this enriching opportunity. Her application to this program included two essays and a list of her extracurricular activities as well as demonstration of her leadership skills. It was indeed a rigorous process and she was chosen from dozens of students. 

While at Zhengzhou, Victoria will have the chance to participate in a variety of cultural and educational activities. She will partake in seminars and discussion on global issues, prepare a cultural presentation and visit landmarks and sites of cultural significance within China, including a trip to the Great Wall of China and Beijing.

As many of you may know, Victoria is in her junior year at Dominion and is beginning to prepare for the college application process. She is excited to be able to add this trip, the valuable experience she will gain, to enhance her college applications. Leadership and higher learning are two principles that Victoria values and prides herself in; her passion for culture and this trip to China provides her the occasion to learn from her counterparts from the other side of the world. This is an amazing opportunity that she cannot afford to miss!  

While her housing, meals and transportation in China will be covered by the school, we will be responsible for her airfare, travel insurance, student visa and additional related expenses up to $2,200. Therefore, we are reaching out to you for assistance. Every little bit will help and our gratitude and appreciation will go a long way!
