My Travel Story

They say you should find a way or make one! Well, I'm doing just that and looking for your support. I recently received an amazing offer to work in London for a Fashion Public Relations Agency on a 6 month assignment (October - April 2016).

Many of you know I transitioned to New York City after completing a dual International MBA program at Georgia State University in Atlanta. I've been interning for a designer showroom and while it has been an incredible journey, I'm looking to gain some international work experience in one the fashion capitals of the world —London!

So what's holding me back you may ask? As you know, London is one of the most expensive cities to travel to let alone live in. It's been extremely difficult to raise the funds by myself seeing as my current internship is unpaid. Which is why I'm reaching out to family and friends for support to help cut the cost of the trip down.

This internship REALLY means a lot to me. I would be working for Bright Light Fashion PR Agency. In 2014, they were voted Best for Fashion PR by the National Industry Awards. I'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of luxury brands, high street retailers, online retailers across womenswear, menswear and accessories. I'll be working side by side and learning from the some of the best in fashion pr. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, essential to developing my craft in fashion pr and marketing. In addition, to building international connections, I strongly believe this will only take my career to the next level.

    I'm extremely grateful for the support I've been getting so far. It truly means alot. Already, in just one week I've raised 8% of my goal. I know I have a way to go but I'm confident I'll get there. Let's get me to London!
