Help Send Antonia To France!
My Travel Story
Last year, I was lucky enough to spend my Fall semester of sophomore year with Emerson College's Kasteel Well Program in the Netherlands. This gave me the opportunity and independence to truly travel for the first time. During my three months in Europe, I learned so much about myself and the world around me. I grew as a journalist, as I took a class that required me to reach out to businesses and people who did not necessarily speak English fluently and were also living in places that I was not used to traveling in. While there, I also continued my artwork, spending any time possible to draw out my inspiration from the beautiful environment around me.
After traveling around Europe with the Kasteel Well program, I was able to pinpoint the cities and countries that I wanted to return to when I had more time to explore further. France was one of the countries on my list.
Being able to go back to France, especially with the Aix-en-Provence program, will allow me to continue to grow as a person, journalist, and artist. What makes this such a meaningful experience is that I will truly be immersed in their culture, and will get to know the area around me and make connections with the people living there. I will also be able to practice my conversational french, which is a language that I want to continue to learn and be comfortable speaking before I graduate college. After experiencing France during my travels last year, I know that being able to to return will inspire me as a young adult looking for adventure and experience that will not only help her in her future career, but as a person as well.
