My Travel Story

Hello everyone! Thank you for considering donating to my semester in Southeast Asia. I love to travel so I have decided to take a gap year between high school and college to explore the world and gain some life experience.

I chose to travel to Southeast Asia and Latin America with a program called Pacific Discovery. My first semester I plan to go to Southeast Asia. Pacific Discovery has the perfect combination of adventure, fun, learning and volunteer work. I will have the opportunity to experience and learn about each country's history and people through cultural immersion, learn new languages like Thai, and visit World Heritage sites like the Buddhist temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. I will also be doing community service like teaching students English in Cambodia and working with elephants at the Elephant Nature Foundation in Thailand. For just plain fun, I'll be sea kayaking in Vietnam, and maybe even learning to Scuba in Thailand!  

I will be working this summer to earn money for this trip. Your additional support in any kind of donation will help me with my quest.
