Hi there, friends and family!


I wanted to be the first to inform you of extremely exciting news: a new journey for me is beginning!

I was recently accepted into a program to intern abroad in Colombia with the Intern Group! I will be embarking on this journey on June 15th.

I cannot thank you all enough for your continued love and prayers throughout my entire collegiate journey!

I will be interning full-time in Colombia working with a local non-profit/governmental organization.

Professionally my goals are to analyze the ways in which politics affect people of African ancestry around the world. With Colombia being the fourth largest country in the western hemisphere whose citizens identify as black, this will surely be an interesting place to start! I hope that through my professional goals, I may be personally exposed to the vastness of cultures, languages, foods, and love that exist around the world!

Family, while this is wonderful, I only have one request and I’m asking for your help.

I have to raise $4,230 to participate in the program. I know it seems like a lot, but if at least 200 people give an average of $21 then we’ve already reached the goal. So share with your family and friends!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I hope that I can count on your support to help me get there!
