My Travel Story

by: Rhea Jean Villaseñor Start Date: Nov 3, 2020 - End Date: Nov 2, 2021
Hello everyone!

I am Rhea Jean Villaseñor, from the Philippines and I am an aspiring student to study abroad.

I finished my 4 years Bachelor Degree major in International Travel and Tourism Management by supporting my studies financially by having a part time job in a pizza company here in the Philippines. I work for 4-5 days a week and even though with just few hours of sleep I have to get up and be at school early in the morning. Working while studying is a hard but this is not an excuse for me to study hard, gain good grades, and be part of the dean's lister.

My dream is to continue what I have started and invest more time in learning because ever since , I do really dream to study abroad but knowing our financial capability I don't know if I could make this happen but I believe that there is hope as long as you are passionate on what you wanted to do. I also came from a simple family, simple living with a single mom who is really working hard to support the studies of me and my two other sisters, this is another motivation for me to work hard and invest more in studies that I know it could give me an edge and provide my family the life they deserve.

After a 4 year bachelor degree, I decided to take it up to the next level and have a Masters Degree major in Hospitality Management.

The tourism/hospitality sector plays an important role in boosting a nation's economy. That an increase in tourism flow can bring positive economic outcomes to the nation's economic growth. The tourism industry is growing as time goes by, it is contributing a change, and by this I wanted to be part and contribute for this global change.

I have chosen to study in UK because according to studies they have a high quality of education. UK higher education degrees and qualifications are recognized by employers worldwide. And students get the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, and connections to drive forward their careers.

This is a big step to take and seems to be impossible, but nothing is impossible as long as you are motivated and determined because having a financial issue in life should not be a hindrance for your dream. It's never wrong to aim high and choose a brighter future for yourself and for your family because I am a woman with big dreams, I want to achieve a good, succesful life and contribute to our future society.

With your blessings, I can finally achieve my dreams and turn it into reality :)
