My Travel Story

Traveling, whether it is across the country or the world, it my passion. It has been a dream of mine to travel to Europe to experience the different cultures Europe has to offer. I am a second year senior a part of the Adolescence Generalist Education Program studying Mathematics at SUNY College at Brockport. I chose the Ireland: Special Education study abroad program so I can expand my studies in special education and to experience the culture of Ireland. I believe this study abroad experience will definitely broaden my knowledge of special education. I haven’t considered being a special education teacher before but after this trip to Ireland, if a teaching position were to open up, I would take it without hesitation. I believe it is very important for all current and future teachers to have the knowledge experience and with teaching students with disabilities. The world needs more special education teachers and I am willing to step up and become one.
