Send Matthew Caton to build in Peru
My Travel Story
Let me start by introducing myself. I am Matthew Caton, a 21 year old college student. I currently go to South Plains College in Levelland, TX. I am taking 16 hours this semester, and I work another 18-20 hours a week as a delivery driver at the Doc's Warehouse in Lubbock. I am a military veteran (I spent 2 years active duty in the Army as a 13D and received an honorable discharge), so I am paying for college using my GI Bill and the Hazlewood act. I enjoy playing video games with my brother and dancing to EDM music.
Now that yall know a little bit about me, I'll explain why this trip is so important to me. I have always wanted to travel the world, but have yet to see much of another country. (I've been outside the United States only once, and that was to Mexico). On top of this, I've always wanted to visit Peru. Between Incan Ruins and the beautiful scenery that I have yet to experience firsthand, it is a destination that I absolutely HAVE to visit within my lifetime. Simply put, I find Peru absolutely fascinating. On top of this, I want to make a positive impact within the world I live in. Which is why this trip would be a great fit, both for myself and the community of Cusco, Peru. I could utilize the skills I have with basic construction, plumbing and electricity to improve the infrastructure within the beautiful city.
