My Travel Story

I am a 20 year old student studying Classical Studies and Ancient History in the land of the sheep, WALES, and who would like to fly out to Madagascar for 3 weeks this summer, but this will be no vacation.

I shall be working hard doing marine, coastal and wildlife conservation the majority of the time as well as teaching English as a foreign language in a local school. I will be living very basically with no running water, no electricity and, OH NO, a long-drop toilet - a first for this Londoner. I look forward to helping the Environment and participating in so many experiences.

During my 10% free time! I shall be emerging myself in the local culture and participating in 'touristy things'. I shall be dancing and singing 'I like to move it, move it' whilst I am out there.

I want to gain new experiences and see the world through new eyes - without a T.V. I want to see the wonders of the land of Madagascar. To know I am participating in its conservation is an added bonus. Maybe I will even see Alex the Lion whilst I am out there.

I am asking for help to enable me to go on this life-time opportunity to help the environment of Madagascar and it's people. I have worked and saved some money but still need to raise funds for the cost of insurance, flights and the necessary kits as well as other essentials required for this trip.

Frontier Projects

Frontier sends over 1,000 volunteers every year on a range of flexible and varied projects. Frontier projects are capacity building for both the communities they work with and volunteers that take part.

Each project is unique and constantly evolving to meet the specific needs of the communities and environments Frontier works in. With over 20 years
experience, Frontier’s projects access remote areas around the world which
gives volunteers more opportunities than travelling alone.

Thanks for Reading and the Donations,

Alice
