Hello potential contributors,

Thank you for checking out my campaign! My name is Mindy and I'm a former private school teacher turned small business owner turned struggling artist living in Chicago. Maybe you can suss from my professions why I have launched this campaign to raise funds for my voluntourism experience.

My hope is to spend 2 weeks this winter in Nicaragua, via Unearth The World, by using my teaching skills to volunteer in their local school helping children achieve literacy or using my untapped skills helping the local community with their organic farming project which helps support the rural economy and environment.

What do I need to participate in this amazing Voluntourism experience in Nicaragua and where does your contribution go?

I'm so glad you asked! My goal is to raise $3,150. That sounds a little daunting, I know, so here's the break down:
   *Accommodations: $960 for 2 weeks of group dorm/ 3 meals a day/ Spanish
     lessons/volunteer work 
   *Guided airport transportation: $80 pick up/drop off 
   *Application fee: $300 (this is the only fee that goes in part to Unearth The
     World)
   *Flight: approx. $1,318
