Brothers Vaughan and Barnabas-Francis are members of the Order of Saint Francis - a dispersed community within the Anglican Communion. The Order gets together once a year to allow the Brothers to do any business required, to learn from each other, to build and strengthen our fraternal bonds and to recharge our batteries before returning to the world. Convocation happens each year in the United States of America, and in 2017 it will take place at the DeKoven Center in Racine, Wisconsin.

We both live in London and work with the Sisters of Saint Margaret and PRAXIS Community Projects in their work with homeless and vulnerable people including street homeless, refugees and asylum seekers. We are living out our vows of Obedience, Chastity and Poverty in a joyful spirit and as such, cannot readily afford to get to Convocation.  It is very important for us to be there in order to meet with our Brothers and to continue to build our bonds of fraternity and community. We will also return re-energised to continue our ministries here in London.

We managed to raise £2861.12 for Convocation 2016 and from that were able to give £500 to one of our clients to prevent her from being evicted.

    We have £590 at the moment so another £610 would get us the tickets.
