My Travel Story

As an ESL teacher, I am passionate about working with kids from other cultures and about helping teachers learn to better teach them. As part of a coalition of teachers from the Denver area, I will be traveling to Belize for a week to help teachers at four schools become better teachers by modeling lessons with their students and helping teachers develop lessons. Teachers there do not have as much training as US teachers so our work is important. We also bring donated school supplies to the students. Then a few months later, a team of their teachers spends a week at our school observing and shadowing us. This program gives me the chance to help make a real difference in the lives of students and teachers in Belize! Thank you for supporting my dream!
