My Travel Story

Hi Family and Friends, 

In July, I will be traveling to the ancient port city of Cádiz located in the southwest part of Spain.  Everyday , I will attend classes in the morning at the Centro Mundo Lengua school. In the afternoon, I will explore the city with other students from around the world.  In addition to this complete cultural immersion experience, I live with a local spanish family.  This will be a two week trip.

About the City of Cadiz

I wrote 3 essays (two in spanish/one in english) and received a small scholarship ($800/ total cost of the program is $2500) from the school, but as you can see I still need a substantial amount of money to make this trip possible. In addition to this fundraising campaign, I also babysit to earn additional money.

Studying the Spanish language is very important to me because my grandfather is from Panama. For the past five years, I have consistently taken Spanish classes. As a sophmore,  I am currently taking a Spanish 3 Honors class and plan to continue my studies in college.

I am so excited about this opportunit y to study abroad and with your support, gain complete fluency in the language!
