My Travel Story

My name is Sienna Sherlin and for those of you who may know me or are my friends, loved ones, or any of my family members~a little recap and up to date version of my life recently is that this is my second year of Allan Hancock College and while working part-time, I have achieved my associates degree in Liberal Arts: Math and Sciences. By the end of May, I will officially be finished with Allan Hancock College, and will be transferring to a university (Either California Baptist University or California State University of Northridge) to continue pursuing my major in radiologic sciences to become a radiology technician. As you may or may not know, I will officially be studying abroad this summer through Santa Barbara City College from June 29th-July 23rd! Not only have I never studied abroad before, but this will be my first time ever leaving the country. As listed, I will be traveling to:

  • Dresden, Germany
  • Vienna, Austria
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands 
TBD: (perhaps Paris as it is only a two-hour train ride away from the Netherlands)
 
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity means the absolute world to me as I’ve always dreamt of doing something like this since I was a little girl, and though I am applying for scholarships and saving money, any contributions towards this would mean more than words can truly express. It certainly will be a costly adventure, but something I know I'll cherish forever. Also, I forgot to mention that I will be turning 20 because while I'm abroad, my twentieth birthday is on July 22nd! So, as an early birthday gift, anything helps toward this big dream of mine!
