My Travel Story

Hi, family and friends! Just a few details about me- I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina where I am studying journalism and business. I am a musician, singer/songwriter, an older sister, and an animal lover! A few weeks ago, I applied for a summer program abroad to take a travel writing class that gives me credit for my journalism major and also allows me to see a place and country I have always dreamed of going to. I got accepted to study abroad in Athens, Greece, for a month- this coming May 28th-June 22! I have never been abroad before and truly feel that this is a step in the right direction for me. Recently, I have felt somewhat lost in what I should study in school. Since changing my major (in January 2018) to journalism and getting accepted in this program, I really feel that God has been pushing me to challenge myself emotionally and academically to go to this new place. I am raising money to study abroad as I also apply for as many scholarships as possible to help me pay for this adventure! This will greatly influence and impact my education and help me decide what I want to concentrate my journalism studies on, such as learning about travel writing and how to document a new culture and experience. My total cost for this study abroad session is around $7,000. Any and every donation will be so greatly appreciated, and I thank you for your time and for reading about my travel campaign!
