My Travel Story

The red sea represents one of the most unique marine environments and one of the world’s most important repositories of marine biodiversity. The region is home to an extremely diverse range of species, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. I will be monitering the local reefs, carrying out surveys providing us with essential information about the reef and its inhabitants. Raising awarness amongst the locals is also crutial to the project. The volutary work will contribute as experience towards my carreer as a zoologist.
I am passionate about this project because 6 year ago i came diving in the red sea and the incredible thing was that the marine life was so untouched. To a point where the animals in general were more intrigued by human prescence than afraid of it. Now continued polluting of the water, constant oil spillage from offshore rigs, touristic developments are destroying this exclusive part of our planet and i plan to do something about it.
The preservation of areas like this is primordial to me and every bit of help i can get will contribute to protecting these amazing waters.
