Fellas, this is my chance to see the world outside of Texas{:< expand my horizons, collect vast amounts of precious worldy knowledge, all that. Unsurprisingly, it ain't cheap(,: I'm Reagan Richard and I'm a third year Government and English student at UT Austin with interests in environmental protection and criminal law. I was accepted into the IHP Food Systems study abroad program for fall 2023, which takes students to Ecuador, Spain, Malawi (Africa) and Georgia (United States). I will learn from farmers, activists and policymakers in these regions, comparatively studying how food production, distribution, and consumption are affected by climate change, global trade, and historic inequalities. Because the program spans an entire semester, the total costs are.. something serious. If a few hundred of you lovely, generous people could throw a few dollars my way, it would make a monumental difference. I don't want to have to sell any of my organs. Thank you for reading;3
