Hi, my name is Kelsey. I'm a graduate student at Portland State University, and I'm deeply committed to improving the lives of older adults, especially those living with dementia and their care partners. I've been fortunate to work with this population for over fifteen years, and it's fueled my desire to learn more. I was one of only a dozen students selected for a unique study abroad program in Japan this fall, focusing on the country's innovative approaches to a 'super-aging' society. I believe this experience will provide invaluable knowledge that I can bring back to my community, helping to shape better policies and support systems right here in the Pacific Northwest. As a working parent, funding this opportunity is a real challenge. Your generosity and support would not only help me achieve this goal, but would ultimately benefit the older adults I'm so passionate about serving. Every little bit makes a difference!
