My Travel Story

This will be a huge impact on my education and career because I am able to branch out and fully experience adulthood but also receive an education internationaly and intern for an international organization. My goal is to be a diplomat or foreign service officer, in this position I have to be able to adapt to different cultures and speak multiple languages. I can already speak, Haitian Creole, English and I am a beginner in French. This experience will help me learn my third language fluently;  Spanish, interact with a culture that is not close to my own and meet and learn from people all around the world. I mainly chose Spain as my destination to live in for four long months because of its spotaneous enviroment, language, food and location. Spain is close to many other european countries that I hope to explore in my travels. Doing this study intern will help me become more responsible as I will have my own apartment, be responsible for the amount of money I spend during this trip, food and gifts of course for my loved ones back home and just overall being able to take care of myself. I will have a hands on opportunity at a real international job enviroment which will help me grow spiritually as a person. I also have an amazing opportunity with my program to go to Morocco for a weekend and experience another culture while abroad. Spain will be the fourth country I wil have the opprtunity to travel to, and I know it  will not be my last because of my career choice. Upon graduating I hope to join the peace corp and work in a third world country for two year in the education and health department. I have the opportunity with the education I will be receiving in Spain and my overall undergraduate career to use what i've learn to give back to the world. Not for recognition or praise but to fufill the hunger in my soul to help people who are not as fortunate as I am.
