We are a group of twenty-three 10th and 11th grade students from the International program (BIHS) at Berkeley High School, a public school located in Berkeley, CA. The educational approach of BIHS is dynamic, as it aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring teens who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Students enrolled in the program are expected to meet rigorous academic standards as well as invest many hours in community service.

This Spring Break (March 30-April 7), we will travel to Cambodia with Rustic Pathways. For one week, we will be immersed in the local culture of Phnom Penh, the large capital city of Cambodia and Siam Reap, the home of the beautiful Angkor Wat. We will commit ourselves to vital community projects. We will work with Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA) to assist with enrichment activities for children attending after school care centers, and contributing to local infrastructure projects.

There are many expenses associated with our trip. The funds we raise will ensure that 100% of the students who applied to volunteer in Cambodia are able to participate in this extraordinary global service.

On this page you can pledge your support through thoughts, social media shares, and financial donations. Your gift will be helping to send a deserving student on this meaningful international trip. Thank you so much for your help!
