My Travel Story

In September I will be attending the International Youth Leadership Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. 

The conference is a one-week long youth forum on world politics, international relations, and justice, and will give me an opportunity to test my leadership skills, debate current issues, deliver speeches, draft resolutions, make executive decisions and, realise through experience the complexities of International Relations. The conference will support my education and further my career opportunities. The main objective is to facilitate an exchange of ideas across an ethnically diverse and socially responsible group.

I am truly passionate about this conference as I have always had a great interest in exploring world issues such as human rights violations. Engaging in discussions and debates will enable me to gain experience in areas that I may work in, in the future. 

This opportunity will further my knowledge of current world issues while also furthering skills that will be beneficial in future career ambitions. I chose to apply for the Conference in South Africa as I have always had a keen interest in travel and decided that Cape Town would provide a unique experience.
