My Travel Story

by: Sarah Beasley Start Date: Apr 3, 2017 - End Date: Jun 4, 2017
I will be carrying out groundbreaking survey work with Frontier, exploring Costa Rica's remote habitats and helping to combat the effects of global warming by establishing a baseline against which future protected area management can be assessed.  I will be living in a wilderness camp set in dense tropical forest on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, supporting and educating the local community in an eco-friendly way.

Crucial research will be carried out to find out how climate change is affecting endangered species and threatened habitats. Jaguars, sloths, pumas and turtles are just a fraction of the species here that are under threat; it is important to find out how to best protect these species and preserve their environment.

Help to safeguard Costa Rica's precious wildlife and exceptional habitats for generations to come!
