About Me
I’m a registered expressive arts therapist in private practice in Burlington, Vermont, USA, where I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am also an adjunct professor in the expressive therapies program at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As someone who has Cerebral Palsy, I know firsthand that creativity and the arts provide uniquely powerful supports to people who are facing grave difficulties. The visual arts, movement, writing, storytelling, and theatre help people glean new meanings from their experiences and promote personal and community growth and positive change. For 30 years, I’ve also practiced (performing and teaching) Playback Theatre, a unique form of personal storytelling and improvisational theatre used in education, celebrations, organizations, businesses, mental health, and social justice around the world. Using the arts and Playback Theatre have become the very bones of my work, whether as a clinician, trainer and artist.
