I'm a writer and the author of several books, including The Dogs Who Found Me and I'm a Good Dog: Pit Bulls, America's Most Beautiful and Misunderstood Pet. For the past three years I have worked on a program in the Bronx that offers resources to pet owners in underserved communities. I enjoy traveling and have spent time in Central America (where I first fell in love with dogs 20 years ago) and Havana, Cuba. Currently I am hoping to return to Havana where we brought veterinary supplies two years ago and began talks about having a deeper collaboration; we subsequently realized that any further planning would need to be done on site rather than via email, etc. So, here we go...
