About Me
My name is Ryan Irvin, and I am a 38-years old single father. I have a beautiful young daughter who just turned 16-years old, so I'm sure you can only imagine the stress that has me under (just kidding my daughter is the best kid I know). This past March I had to file for divorce and start my life over with the clothes on my back, and whatever was in my truck. Out of this unfortunate event, I had to make some life-changing decisions. My daughter said, dad it's time for you to do something for yourself, you have taken care of me, and everyone else all these years it's time for you to do something you have always wanted to do but never had the chance to do. My daughter and I agreed that college was the one thing I had wanted to do and to get a degree in a field I have always loved. So with that, I enrolled in college and am now underway with getting my degree in paralegal. I will finish my degree in 2019 and transfer to a major university where I will get my bachelor's degree. I plan on going through the law program after that to become an attorney. I have been out of school for 19 years, and my first semester I was surprised to find out I had a 4.0 GPA. With making that GPA, my professors submitted me for all honors courses for the remainder of my degree program for the next two years. I am pushing with all my might to get in school, get out and get paid. I want to better my life and my daughter's life by getting a well-deserved degree that will help me not worry about where our next meal is coming from or how we are going to pay our bills. I have high hopes to show everyone that working hard at what you love and for your family, only great things can happen.
